 | | | | | OUR TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE We work with the following technology platforms: - PHP
- Pre Hypertext Processor is an open source, server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language used primarily on Linux Web servers that allows web developers to create dynamic content that interacts with databases. PHP is an alternative to Microsoft's Active Server Page (ASP) technology. As with ASP, the PHP script is embedded within a Web page along with its HTML. Before the page is sent to a user that has requested it, the Web server calls PHP to interpret and perform the operations called for in the PHP script. PHP can perform the same tasks as a CGI program and is compatible with many different kinds of databases. PHP enabled web pages are treated just like regular HTML pages and you can create and edit them the same way you normally create regular HTML pages. PHP is basically used for developing web based software applications.
- MySQL
- MySQL is a simple, yet powerful open source relational database management system, which means it stores data in separate tables rather than putting all the data in one big area. This adds flexibility, as well as speed. The SQL part of MySQL stands for "Structured Query Language," which is the most common language used for adding, accessing, and processing data in a database. MySQL typically runs on Linux Web servers and is used in conjunction with PHP. Because it is open source, anyone can download MySQL and tailor it to their needs in accordance with the general public license. MySQL is the world's most popular database server technology.
- Java
- Java is a high-level, multi-platform, object-oriented programming language developed initially at Sun Microsystems and expressly designed for use in the distributed environment of the Internet. It is similar to C++, but has been simplified to eliminate language features that cause common programming errors. Java is a general purpose programming language that can be used to to create secure executable content (i.e. self-running applications) by any Java-capable browser for use as part of a Web page and thus make it possible for a Web page user to interact with the page. Java should not be confused with JavaScript, which shares only the name and a similar C-like syntax. Sun Microsystems currently maintains and updates Java regularly.
- Microsoft .Net
- The .NET Framework is Microsoft's set of software technologies for connecting information, people, systems and devices and for building, deploying, and running Web Services and other applications. It is focused on rapid application development, platform independence and network transparency and although fast .NET development is not as rapid as some other tools (leading to higher production costs), but it is significantly more stable, and runs much faster than previous Microsoft platforms. It has three main parts: the Common Language Runtime, the Framework classes, and ASP.NET. It is based on web services which are small applications that can connect to each other as well as to other larger applications over the Internet. Microsoft's .NET offers an alternative to Java and J2EE. Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET development environment incorporates over 20 different languages including RPG, COBOL and Microsoft's own C# for business programming. With all languages compiling to a common language runtime, .NET enables developers to create XML web services and integrate mobile devices and servers.
